Watts began her career in Australian television, where she appeared in commercials and series, including the Home and Away, Brides of Christ and Hey Dad..!. Later, she had a major supporting role in the coming of age film Flirting, and was cast in the 1996 horror film Children of the Corn IV: The Gathering.
